1 HOUR

Air safari: Why not take advantage of the fact that Kangerlussuaq is an airport and take a flight on which you’ll be able to see many of the best things that Kangerlussuaq has to offer.

In small, fast and comfortable aircraft you can see the entire landscape from above. Exploit the speed of the plane to see musk oxen and the Ice Sheet if time is short. (season: summer).

2 HOURS

Musk ox safari: Make sure you don’t miss out on a musk ox safari if you’re in Kangerlussuaq. The trip enables you to see some of the landscape around Kangerlussuaq, and is of course a chance to see Greenland’s primitive animal, the musk ox, or indeed some of the other wildlife in the region – e.g. reindeer, birds of prey, arctic foxes and alpine hares. (season: all year round).

5 HOURS

Up on the Ice Sheet: The Ice Sheet is perhaps the most important landscape feature in Greenland and a world-class attraction. Kangerlussuaq is a good starting point from which to experience the ice due to the fact that, unusually for Greenland, a road leads directly from Kangerlussuaq to the edge of the ice. Enjoy a trip that enables you to hike on the Ice Sheet itself. (season: all year round).
