NuukKap Extreme Running Race
July 7 - July 9NuukKap is an extreme ultra running race held in the wild arctic nature. The route is 110 km of wild untouched nature. You can also run or wander 70 km from Nuuk to Qooqqut which is where the 110 km wanders will stay over night. The midnight sun makes sure that the runners have visibility even in the night.

July 23The Nuuk Halvmarathon (Half Marathon) is a relatively flat route, mostly on asphalt. The marathon is held with start and finish from Royal Arctic Line's headquarters.

July 30Trail run accompanied by live music in Qasigiannguit will be held Saturday July 30, 2022.

Ultra Trail Nuuk
August 3The Ultra Trail Nuuk is a 72 km and more than 2000 altitude meters mountain race that will take place for the first time on Saturday, August 3rd 2019. The race is open to both men and women of 18 years old and up. It is very important that participants are well trained and prepared for mountain running.

Nuuk Marathon
August 10 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pmFor those who prefer a city marathon, the Colourful Nuuk Marathon takes place towards the end of summer.

The Leif Eriksson Marathon
August 21The Leif Eriksson Marathon is named after the son of the fabled Viking, Erik the Red. The race's start and finish is in the settlement Qassiarsuk which rests on the site of Erik the Red's and Leif Eriksson's 10th century farm, Brattahlid. Now the entire area is deemed UNESCO world heritage.

The Polar Circle Marathon
October 29 - October 30The Polar Circle Marathon is unique in that it is the only marathon in which you can run on Greenland’s IceCap itself. The majority of the course, however, is run on road, which is often covered in snow, due to the race taking place in late October.
