MANIITSOQ TOUR BOAT

Maniitsoq Tour Boat is owned by Hotel Heilmann Lyberth. The focal point of the company’s adventures is a range of sea safaris, with both mini-cruises and whale safaris on the programme.

Mini-cruises to settlements are among the popular attractions on the water.

Experience the highest mountain peaks on Greenland’s west coast on the way to the settlement of Kangaamiut, where hunting and fishing in the rich fjords and hinterland feed a population of 350 people.

Or go on a mini-cruise to bird colonies and abandoned settlements or through Hamburg Sound to one of Greenland’s most beautiful locations: the Fjord of Eternity.

There are plenty of options and your trip can be tailored to suit your needs.

Trips take place on the Targa “Bolatta”, which can carry up to 12 passengers.

Leaping humpback whales and playful minke whales are a common sight on a trip on the waters in the Maniitsoq region.

Go on a whale safari and let the captain take you to the whales.

He knows their behaviour and how they react depending on the prevailing weather conditions. The best chances of seeing these fascinating mammals are in the fjord systems around Maniitsoq and Kangaamiut.
