What makes us similar, what makes us different, and how we essentially want the same thing in life to be seen for who we are, fully heard, and acknowledged. In my visits to Greenland, nothing compares to those serendipitous moments spending time with locals, being invited into their homes for kaffemik, a traditional dinner or to their favorite hangouts spontaneously, listening to their personal stories no one else has access to publicly, looking into each other’s eyes, and fully seeing our humanity despite our cultural differences. This is the reverent beauty that can only be experienced by organically interacting with locals on the ground in Greenland and seeing where the spirit of this majestic land wants to lead you.”
