Avannaata Qimussersua is a national dogsled race, that takes place every year and is one of the biggest cultural events in Greenland.
Where the race is held, varies from year to year, but always in the western part of Greenland, north of the Arctic Circle.
It is a race where competitors from the west coast of Greenland- above the arctic circle, compete in a 40km race. In 2024, the race is held in Ilulissat.
