The Greenlandic insect fauna is relatively few in species. Only about 1200 species of insects, spiders (Arachnids) and other small animals are known. In comparison, about 20 times as many species are recorded in Denmark.

All about Greenland's vikings

In Vikings: Valhalla (2022), a historical series on Netflix, the two Greenlandic Vikings, Leif Eriksson and Freydís Eiríksdóttir immediately caught our eyes. As descendants of Erik the Red, they proudly say that they are from Greenland. In Greenland, not only Inuit people but also Vikings had been living in South Greenland for more than 400 years.
